Course Fees, Related Costs and Scholarships

The fees cover the teaching instruction and related courses such as First Aid, Self Defence and off-campus visits.
Students can expect to incur additional costs for text books, resources and travel. Details of these costs are provided to students in writing prior to the commencement of the course. Loans and allowances Students are eligible to apply for Student Loans and Allowances. Information is available from Study Link (www.studylink.govt.nz) Information about scholarships is available on request from the College. Students studying at Rangi Ruru Early Childhood College are now eligible to apply for Teach NZ scholarships.
Dates for 2011
A Returning to Study (2 day) course is offered in late January for new students who are non-school leavers, and who wish to complete an introduction to tertiary study course. This course is offered at no additional cost to students.
Timetable Information
For all students, the daily College timetable runs from 9am – 3 pm, with some variations to this standard timetable at different times. The College year commences in late January and finishes in late November. We follow the primary school term breaks.
The yearly timetable is structured to balance in-College classes and placements in homes or early childhood centre settings. Each student spends up to 30 % of their programme time on practical placement.
